Impact statement: This community-based study of 1,195 women in northern Bangladesh reveals that while 71.7% of mothers achieved the milestone of four or more ANC visits, surpassing the national rural average, initial care remains significantly delayed, and nearly 41% of visits are still provided by non-skilled personnel. The research identifies that maternal education, older age, and employment are the strongest drivers of adequate care, with educated mothers being 7.2 times more likely to seek full ANC services. These findings provide a vital evidence-based mandate for policymakers to focus on female secondary and higher education and targeted community interventions to ensure that the "continuum of care" protects the most vulnerable rural families from preventable pregnancy complications.
