| Impact statement: This cross-sectional study of 260 postmenopausal women reveals a high prevalence of female sexual dysfunction (FSD) at 56.9%, identifying a significant but often ignored public health issue in Bangladesh. The research establishes that increasing age, urban residence, and lack of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) are major risk factors, while regular physical activity acts as a critical protective factor. By identifying that nearly 47% of participants were homemakers and that many faced barriers like social stigma, the study provides a vital mandate for healthcare providers to integrate hormonal therapy, pelvic floor (Kegel) exercises, and counseling into routine care to improve the physical and psychological well-being of women in their postmenopausal years. | Collaboration: None | Keywords: Hormone therapy, Physical activity, Postmenopausal women, Female sexual dysfunction |
