| Impact statement: This article examines the relatively underexplored use of trade remedies by Bangladesh and assesses how existing practices on subsidies could evolve in a post?LDC context. It argues that although transformative changes in trade remedies may be difficult, Bangladesh can adopt defensive strategies in global trade to protect its industries and strengthen policymaker and industry coordination. | Collaboration: None | Keywords: • Trade remedies • Bangladesh • LDC phase • WTO • Subsidies • Trade policy • Trade barriers • International trade |
