| Impact statement: This 1-year follow-up study in Bangladesh reveals that while the overall quality of life (QoL) for COVID-19 survivors improved in psychological, social, and environmental domains over time, physical domain scores significantly declined. By identifying that older age, female sex, severity of initial illness, and existing comorbidities are major predictors of poor long-term well-being, the research provides a critical evidence-based mandate for health authorities to prioritize monitoring for chronic diseases and psychological support for reinfected individuals. These findings emphasize that pandemic recovery extends far beyond the acute infection phase, necessitating strong national policies to manage long-term health sequels and socio-economic rehabilitation. | Collaboration: Government | Keywords: Quality of life, Health-related quality of life, Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, COVID-19, Bangladesh |
