Impact statement: This longitudinal study is the first to execute a thorough 12-month assessment of the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among Bangladeshi COVID-19-surviving healthcare workers. The research reveals a critical paradox: while psychological, social, and environmental QoL scores improved as participants returned to normal life, their physical QoL scores significantly declined, particularly among those who developed new chronic illnesses. These findings provide a vital evidence-based foundation for policymakers to develop targeted rehabilitation and psychological support programs to protect the well-being and operational resilience of the healthcare workforce Collaboration: Partner University Keywords: Quality of life (QoL), Health-related quality of life (HRQOL), Healthcare worker (HCW), COVID-19, Bangladesh
