Impact statement: This article examines the structural, institutional, and resource?based challenges that legal scholars in Bangladesh face when conducting research and publishing on international law. It highlights the limited engagement with specialized international legal research within the national academic community and the obstacles that hinder quality scholarship. By offering both a critique and suggestions for addressing these challenges, the article contributes to deeper understanding of academic legal research in developing country context and proposes ways to enhance scholarly output and global engagement.
