| Impact statement: This is the first study to specifically examine the oral health knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of female sex worker (FSW) mothers toward their children in Bangladesh, revealing that while 79% of mothers/caregivers have good knowledge, nearly 37.2% admit their children follow poor oral health practices. By identifying that maternal education and living in institutional care (shelter homes) are the strongest predictors of good oral hygiene, the research provides a critical mandate for government-led dental health camps and targeted promotion programs to reach this vulnerable, stigmatized population. | Collaboration: Partner University | Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Practice, Oral health, Sex worker |
