Impact statement: The study identified a 40.85% prevalence of dermatological symptoms among the general population in Bangladesh due to mask use. It highlights that surgical mask users and those with obesity or prior skin diseases are at higher risk. The findings suggest that modifications in mask usage patterns and the implementation of work recesses could mitigate these adverse skin effects.
