| Impact statement: This study provides the first detailed assessment of neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) among female patients in Bangladesh, revealing a high prevalence of 55%. The research identifies headache (55%), cognitive dysfunction (50%), and anxiety (49%) as the most frequent manifestations. Key findings indicate that young age at diagnosis and active disease (higher SLEDAI scores) are significant predictors of neuropsychiatric damage. By documenting these patterns, the study serves as a vital call to action for clinicians to perform routine screening for NP symptoms, ensuring early intervention and improving the long-term quality of life for patients in resource-limited healthcare environments. | Collaboration: None | Keywords: Neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus, ACR criteria, Pattern, Prevalence, Bangladesh |
