Impact statement: Traffic police in South Asia are continuously exposed to severe occupational risks, including vehicular pollution, excessive noise, and extreme weather, which lead to high rates of respiratory morbidity (up to 84% in some areas) and musculoskeletal disorders. This protocol establishes a systematic framework to analyze existing evidence on these health hazards, identifying critical knowledge gaps and predisposing risk factors. By providing a comprehensive overview of current occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and preventive strategies, the resulting scoping review will provide a vital evidence-based mandate for policymakers to implement safety cultures and protective interventions that safeguard the well-being of this essential workforce.
