Impact statement: This study reveals that while a majority (56%) of madrasa students in Dhaka report a good health-related quality of life, their well-being is highly sensitive to their environment and physical health. By identifying that feeling safe in the institution increases the odds of good HRQoL by 3.7 times, while present illness and bullying significantly diminish these odds, the research provides a critical evidence-based mandate for the government and madrasa authorities to implement anti-bullying initiatives and regular health screenings.
