Impact statement: This study highlights that while 72.5% of the Bangladeshi population has adequate knowledge and 76.3% a positive attitude regarding COVID-19 infection and vaccination during Ramadan, significant gaps remain. Crucially, individuals with lower educational levels and current smokers were found to be more likely to have inadequate knowledge and negative attitudes. These findings serve as a call to action for the government to strengthen targeted awareness campaigns and anti-smoking initiatives, ensuring that misconceptions—such as the belief that vaccination or testing invalidates the fast—do not hinder the nation's mass immunization efforts.
