Impact statement: This cross-sectional study of 165 patients at the Government Unani & Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital in Dhaka reveals a high overall satisfaction rate of 81.8% with traditional medicine services. While the "Accessibility and Convenience" and "Technical Quality" of care received high scores, the research identifies financial aspects—specifically the high cost and lack of free medicine—as the leading cause of dissatisfaction (17.6%). The findings demonstrate that traditional medicine is a highly trusted alternative for patients when modern medicine fails or is too costly. These results serve as a vital call for policymakers to increase the availability of free medicines, which would further enhance the quality of healthcare and support the well-being of the most vulnerable populations in Bangladesh.
